Victoria Bitter

Bold Australian lager with earthy bitterness. A full-flavoured amber-gold Aussie lager — more bitterness and body than most macro lagers, brewed in Melbourne for a hard-earned thirst.

The Brewer's Tale

Heritage

The Brewery

Victoria Bitter — universally ‘VB’ — is brewed by Carlton & United Breweries in Melbourne, with a lineage running back to colonial Victorian brewer Thomas Aitken and his Victoria Brewery (est. 1854).

It grew into one of Australia's best-selling beers; CUB is now owned by Asahi.

The Pour

A bigger-tasting Australian lager: deep gold, fuller-bodied with a firm, earthy hop bitterness and a clean, dry finish. Serve it as cold as the esky allows.

A Hard-Earned Thirst

‘For a hard-earned thirst’ — VB's slogan is part of the Australian vernacular, the beer of the cricket, the footy and the backyard barbie.

At The Table

Built for the barbie: snags, a steak, prawns on the grill and a meat pie at the footy.
