The Beer
Bosnia-Herzegovina · Group BSmooth Bosnian lager with gentle malt character. Bosnia's national beer: a crisp, clear pale lager with soft malt and a clean, gently bitter finish — brewed in the heart of Sarajevo since 1864.
The Brewer's Tale
HeritageThe Brewery
The Sarajevska Pivara (Sarajevo Brewery) was founded on 24 May 1864 — the first industrial plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the only European brewery to run continuously through both Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian rule.
The Pour
A clear Bosnian pale lager: bright gold, soft malt, a noble-hop bitterness and a crisp, clean finish.
Through the Siege
Built over a natural spring, the brewery became a lifeline during the 1992–95 Siege of Sarajevo — supplying water to the city and never stopping production. Sarajevsko has been a symbol of the city's resilience ever since.
At The Table
Made for Bosnian grilling: ćevapi in warm somun bread, pljeskavica and sudžukice.
