The Beer
Germany · Group ETraditional Bavarian lager with rich malt depth. A Munich classic from one of Bavaria's six great Oktoberfest brewers — full, golden and richly malty, brewed in the city since 1634.
The Brewer's Tale
HeritageThe Brewery
Paulaner was founded in 1634 by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au monastery in Munich — the order of St Francis of Paola gave the brewery its name.
Today it is one of the six Munich breweries entitled to pour at Oktoberfest.
The Pour
A full Bavarian beer: deep gold, generous bready malt and a soft, rounded body. The brewery is best known for its flagship Hefe-Weißbier and its Oktoberfest Märzen.
Oktoberfest
Paulaner is Oktoberfest royalty — one of the half-dozen Munich houses whose tents and steins define the world's biggest beer festival each autumn.
At The Table
Bavarian through and through: Weißwurst with sweet mustard and a pretzel, roast pork (Schweinebraten), and Oktoberfest Hendl.
