Delster Classic

Malty non-alcoholic brew with soft sweetness. Iran's classic 0.0: a pale, gently sweet malt beverage — soft, bready and refreshing — and the original of the country's many flavoured malt drinks.

The Brewer's Tale

Heritage

The Brewery

Delster is made by Iran Behnoush, a Tehran company widely regarded as the country's first producer of malt beverages and non-alcoholic beer, with the brand dating to 1966.

Since the 1979 revolution it has focused on halal, alcohol-free brews.

The Pour

An alcohol-free malt drink: clear gold, soft and lightly sweet with bready malt and a clean finish — also sold in fruit flavours such as apple, lemon and pomegranate.

The 0.0 of Iran

In Iran, where alcohol is prohibited, Delster and its malt-drink cousins (ma'ol-sha'ir) are the everyday social pour — the matchday refreshment of choice.

At The Table

With Persian plates: kababs and grilled meats, herby stews and rice, mezze and salads.
