The Beer

The Brewer's Tale
HeritageThe Brewery
Petra was introduced in 1964 by Jordan's General Investment Company (Jordan Brewery Co.) and brewed in Zarqa, near Amman — the kingdom's oldest local beer brand.
The Pour
The everyday Petra Lager is a pale golden 5% beer: light malt with a faint spice note and a clean, refreshing finish.
The Strong One
Petra is best known abroad for its potent strong lagers — sold at 8%, 10% and even 13%, among the Middle East's strongest beers — though the standard lager keeps it sessionable.
