Pacífico

Clean, crisp and citrusy with a refreshing finish. A pale-gold pilsner-style lager from the surf town of Mazatlán — light malt, grassy hops and a bright, beach-day finish, classically served with a lime.

The Brewer's Tale

Heritage

The Brewery

First brewed in 1900 in the Pacific port of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, by three German immigrants — Jorge Claussen, Germán Evers and Emilio Phillipy — at the Cervecería del Pacífico, which still stands on the coast.

Grupo Modelo bought the brewery in 1954; the brand is now part of AB InBev.

The Pour

A pilsner-style clara (clear, blonde) lager: pale gold, lightly malty with a whisper of grassy hop and a crisp, dry finish — built for heat and humidity.

The Surf Story

Long a local Mazatlán favourite, Pacífico crossed the border in the 1970s when Californian surfers exploring Baja fell for it and carried it home — the start of its cult following in the US.

At The Table

Made for the coast: fish tacos, ceviche, aguachile and grilled shrimp — always with a lime wedge in the neck.
