Pilsen

Bright Paraguayan lager with a dry finish. Paraguay's original beer: pale gold and brilliantly clear, light and crisp with a whisper of corn and a clean, dry finish — built for the subtropical heat.

The Brewer's Tale

Heritage

The Brewery

Created on 12 October 1912 by the Cervecería Nacional — founded in 1910 by brothers Juan and Pedro Bossio — Pilsen is Paraguay's oldest beer brand.

The brewer, now Cervecería Paraguaya (Cervepar) near Asunción, is part of AB InBev.

The Pour

A pale golden pilsner-style lager: light-bodied, well-carbonated, gentle malt with a whisper of corn and a clean, slightly bitter, refreshing finish.

La Albirroja's Beer

Paraguay's everyday national beer — and a long-time sponsor of the national football team across multiple World Cups. The classic follow-up to an afternoon of ice-cold tereré.

At The Table

Made for the asado: grilled beef, chorizo, mandioca and a wedge of sopa paraguaya.
