Cass

Light-bodied Korean lager with a smooth finish. A pale, fizzy adjunct lager built around rice and served ice-cold — clean, dry and easy, the default pour in Korea's beer halls.

The Brewer's Tale

Heritage

The Brewery

Launched in 1994 (originally by Jinro-Coors) and taken over by Oriental Brewery — OB — in 1999. OB, now part of AB InBev, is one of Korea's two brewing giants, and Cass has been the country's best-selling beer since the early 2010s.

The Pour

A pale-gold adjunct lager brewed with rice for a light body: crisp, lightly sweet and very dry, with a short, clean finish. Famously non-pasteurised and sold on freshness — drink it as cold as you can.

Chimaek

Cass is the engine of chimaek — Korea's beloved pairing of fried chicken and ice-cold maekju (beer) — and the draught of choice in hof beer halls nationwide.

At The Table

Cuts through anything rich or spicy: Korean fried chicken, samgyeopsal pork belly off the grill, tteokbokki and a bowl of kimchi stew.
