Celtia

Tunisian lager with grainy sweetness and spice. Tunisia's national beer: a pale, pilsner-style lager — bready malt, a whisper of grain sweetness and a clean, dry, sun-ready finish.

The Brewer's Tale

Heritage

The Brewery

Celtia was launched in 1951 by the Société Frigorifique et Brasserie de Tunis (SFBT), a Tunis company whose brewing roots reach back to the 1920s.

It dominates the Tunisian beer market — around 85% of it — and the group is now part-owned by France's Castel.

The Pour

A European-style pale lager built for heat: pale gold, mild bready malt, barely-there bitterness from delicate hops, and a clean, light, dry finish.

A Mediterranean Staple

From Sidi Bou Saïd terraces to seaside cafés, Celtia is the taste of a Tunisian summer — the relaxed, secular pour of a Mediterranean coast.

At The Table

With Tunisian food: brik, grilled fish, merguez and a plate of olives and harissa.
